Biography:

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

Liggy has quite an eclectic range of experience. Having worked in the learning and development arena for over twenty years   she is the founding director of The Learning Architect, a consortium of behavioural skills specialists.

Liggy specialises in the field of modern life skills which are the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. It provides individuals with a toolkit of positive life skills that empowers them to cultivate healthy habits and personal coping strategies. Individuals will be better equipped to make more intelligent and informed choices that will ultimately improve the quality and sustainability of their lives. Liggy works predominantly in the field of behavioural change and applies a blended approach based on her experience of emotional resilience, holistic health and  positive psychology.

UNITED NATIONS CONSULTANT.

As an international consultant for The United Nations Liggy travels extensively to various duty stations and peace missions around the world. She describes her visit to Afghanistan in 2011 as her most interesting and enlightening experience to date.

WORKPLACE WELLNESS

Workplace Wellness is about the proactive and responsible approach that organisations can take to support and look after the health of their workforce. Liggy has developed a unique model that promotes mental, physical and environmental health. Employers can positively impact on stress, reduce absenteeism and improve the workforce energy and performance and engender a culture of people engagement. As well as writing books and presenting Liggy works with a variety of organisations across private and public sector.

She is passionate about supporting mental health charities and is a trustee of The Chrysalis Foundation a development programme that engages, inspires and compels offenders to make a sustainable change in their lives.

WRITING GROUP

In her spare time Liggy is a keen fiction writer and set up the Montpellier Writers Group in her home town of Cheltenham to encourage others to discover their potential through creative writing.
